Consenna launches new secure trade-in programme for HP

Consenna, the business consultancy specialising in sales effectiveness programmes for global IT firms, has launched a brand-new trade-in programme on behalf of HP aimed at encouraging SMB owners in the UK to consider how to upgrade IT equipment in a responsible and sustainable manner.

Secure Trade-In by HP is an entirely secure and GDPR compliant programme through which 175 of HP’s accredited network of small resellers, are encouraged to incentivise SMB executives and owners to upgrade to a qualifying HP laptop or desktop, whilst receiving a cashback payment on their redundant kit.  Consenna has engaged Re-Tek, a market-leader in IT disposal and asset retirement, to manage the entire process of kit collection, tracked transportation to a secure location and CESG-compliant data wiping, as well as all aspects of reporting.

Commenting on the importance of this programme, Trevor Evans, Managing Director at Consenna, says:

“HP is a business with a strong commitment to operating sustainably.  This can only be truly successful, however, when all partners and end-users are on-board.  For small business owners looking to upgrade their IT equipment, there can be a myriad of concerns from cost through to data security.

“What Secure Trade-In by HP provides to those business owners is not only the reassurance of total security and compliance at every stage of the process, as well as the incentive of cash-back on qualifying purchases of new equipment, but importantly it allows them to make a meaningful contribution to the circular economy through minimizing waste.”

Consenna has created this entirely new trade-in programme and will deliver all aspects of it, including training to the reseller network and management of a dedicated portal through which the trade-ins will be administered.

Speaking on behalf of HP, Michael Pope, UK Commercial Notebook Category Manager, comments:

“The Consenna team has a comprehensive appreciation of what a trade-in programme of this nature requires.  From supporting HP’s own commitments to sustainability, through to empowering our network of resellers who are at the coalface of working with small and medium sized business owners, and on to creating messages that engage those business owners, they have created a vehicle through which I don’t doubt we’ll witness a greater appreciation of how redundant IT equipment can be successfully saved from the technology scrapheap.”
