BETT is widely recognised as THE global ed-tech event of the year. A celebration of how technology and innovation enable both educators and learners to thrive, the three-day event brings technologies, practices, ideas, and people from over 146 global markets together.

Each year, HP welcomes education professionals from around the world to its presence at the event and through a rich and diverse programme of events that covers keynote addresses, product showcases, panel events, workshop sessions and 1-2-1s, it communicates and shares its position of leadership within the ed-tech sector.

A global pandemic changed all of that and BETT 2021 evolved to ‘go virtual’.

To successfully re-imagine such a vibrant and eclectic mix of ‘real life’ interactions in to a virtual world in which ‘visitors’ could experience the same programme of events and, importantly, interact with industry experts, HP turned to Consenna.

Quickly assembling a multi-disciplinary team of experts and following a strict schedule of planning and alignment meetings, Consenna delivered, in just six weeks, a fully interactive event comprised of live and on-demand content to replicate, as near as possible, HP’s presence at BETT.

Overall online event design and technology integration, staging and management was handled by Consenna’s team of experts who, together, delivered an unrivalled combination of knowledge across user experience, digital innovation, rapid design and deployment of custom solutions, and support on marketing activity. Executing campaigns in tandem with HP ensured that delegates were driven to register for and attend the schedule of events.

“Incredible event platform delivered by Consenna”

Paolo Dal Santo, HP

“Huge shout-out to Consenna for making our programme of live sessions happen!”

Kennie Fyfe, HP

14 live and 6 pre-recorded sessions featuring HP’s industry experts, carefully selected education specialists and globally renowned research gurus, were complimented with live group panels all discussing different aspects of the ‘Future of Education’.

At the heart of HP’s “Future of Education” virtual experience, sat the ‘3D City of Education’ which was designed by Live Marketing specialists, ArtLabs. A fully immersive virtual experience that allowed the HP offer to be explained from a range of different perspectives across the entire education ecosystem and which, importantly, delegates could book a live tour of.

Additionally, by partnering with trusted leaders in smart booking systems, Appointedd, Consenna could highlight the opportunities presented by hosting an event online which allowed users the choice to join sessions live; customise their own agenda; or simply book content in a way that fully integrated sessions into their busy daily schedule.

HP’s virtual event secured over 500 unique user registrations and in excess of 1000 user sessions took place over the three days, with 92% of the sessions being watched live. Whilst BETT may be over for another year, there remains enormous potential for HP’s Future of Education programme of content and the virtual world to be utilised as valuable assets moving forward.
